Villa Francini Del Prete is available to rent for your exclusive use. Currently sleeping up to 14 people. Exclusive use of pool area.
A wonderful space, perfect for hosting retreats for small groups and ideal for:
Yoga – Pilates – Meditation – Bodywork – Art/Painting/Watercolours – Crafts – Calligraphy – Walking – Italian Culture – Italian Language – Bridge and much more. Retreats have exclusive use of the full facilities.
From 2020 I shall be hosting Weddings, blessing ceremonies, renewal of vows and more in the adjoining private Baroque-style Oratorio (a small local chapel where villagers could attend mass and services held by a local priest who would travel around many of these small chapels, as opposed to a piece of music). The chapel is currently undergoing structural restoration.
You may also enjoy Villa Francini Del Prete for a short stay and rent just one of the rooms for two days or more. Simply lounge in the house and relax in the garden or explore this charming and unknown area of Tuscany.
If lounging in the garden, walking the local paths, eating, dangling your feet in the pool and sipping G&Ts on the terrace just doesn’t cut if for you and you have the urge to actually do something then fear not; a variety of activities can be arranged for you during your stay at Villa Francini.
There are of course many things to do and places to visit in the vicinity but if you fancy learning a new skill, for example, then why not try some of these activities.
ARCHERY, FORAGING, HOLISTIC THERAPIES, HORSE RIDING, LOCAL ATTRACTIONS, PILATES, SOAP & LOTION PRODUCTION, WALKING, HIKING & RUNNING or YOGA.
Some can be held at the villa, some you will need to travel to and the majority will involve a small surcharge. All of these activities will be arranged individually for you, with prices dependant on season, duration, number of participants, whether just a one-off session or an hour or more every day so it is impossible to give an accurate price estimate here. Every room in this sizeable country house has been painstakingly restored back to it’s former glory. Working closely with our architect and team of builders, has ensured that we have created a homely feeling throughout the property whilst carefully maintaining the traditions & features of the original building.
When you come to visit us you will get a real sense of the scale and complexity of the project we undertook here at Villa Francini. The property had unfortunately been neglected for decades, however we hope you will agree that it now takes pride of place within the beautiful surrounding landscape once again.
We are surrounded by nature, stunning views, peace and tranquility. Away from the tourist cities of southern Tuscany this is true, authentic Italy at its best. We offer a beautiful and peaceful environment for a variety of different retreats including: Yoga, meditation, walking, cycling, cookery, arts & crafts, photography, holistic therapy, horse riding, detox, reiki, pilates and much more. The venue is also available to hire for weddings & functions, as well as providing accommodation for shorter stays.
AboutThis large handsome house has been slowly, and rather painstakingly, transformed back into a beautiful, rustic Italian home. After several decades of neglect, once again this pretty palazzo offers you refuge and sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of modern life. In the last century, this house was the family home of Sig.ra Francini and her son Carlo Del Prete, who was a pioneer in the new world of aviation. Del Prete was noted as an exceptional navigator and was heralded a national hero for his endeavours.
History & restorationWe are taking enquiries for weddings at Villa Francini Del Prete for 2020 when we estimate that all our facilities, including the beautiful Baroque style church, will be ready. The chapel is currently undergoing much-needed structural restoration. The oratorio will comfortably seat 30-40 people for mass and ceremonies. Wedding breakfasts could then be served in the garden, on the patio or in the beautifully restored barn, just a few yards away.
